About DEBAN Healthcare
Mobility technology, designed in Australia.
DEBAN Healthcare Pty Ltd designs, develops and distributes electric wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment. We are a technology and supply company, not a clinical service: chairs reach users through the providers, distributors and clinicians who assess and fit them.
What we are
A design and supply company, stated plainly.
DEBAN Healthcare Pty Ltd is an Australian-based mobility technology company specialising in the design, development, quality assurance and global distribution of electric wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment. Manufacturing is carried out through certified production facilities operating under strict quality management systems.
That structure is deliberate. Design and quality control stay with us, where the decisions about geometry, drive behaviour and durability get made. Volume production sits with facilities equipped to hold a tolerance across thousands of units. Neither job is done well by pretending to do both.
What it means for the people who specify our equipment: the numbers on a product page come from our own verification, the conformity documentation exists before you ask for it, and the entity responsible for the device in Australia is named on this site.
What we do
Four functions, held in-house.
Design and development
Powered wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment developed in Australia — mechanical structure, drive and control systems, seating geometry and the technical documentation that has to travel with them.
Quality assurance
Specification, verification and inspection against the requirements of each target market, applied before a batch ships rather than after a complaint arrives.
Regulatory and market access
Technical files and conformity documentation prepared for the frameworks our markets run on, so the paperwork is not the thing that delays a launch.
Global distribution
Supply to distributors, rehabilitation suppliers and OEM partners, with the specification and documentation their clinicians and regulators need.
Quality process
From specification to shipped documentation.
-
Specification
Geometry, drive behaviour, materials and acceptance limits are set by our engineering team in Perth.
-
Certified production
Manufacturing partners operating under quality management systems build to that specification.
-
Verification
Testing against the ISO 7176 series — stability, braking, obstacle performance, range, EMC — recorded per model.
-
Release with documentation
Each batch ships with its technical file, conformity evidence, instructions for use and market registration details.
How it is made
Certified facilities, specified by us.
Production is carried out by certified manufacturing partners operating under quality management systems. We set the specification, the inspection criteria and the acceptance limits; our partners hold the process capability to meet them repeatably.
Verification against the ISO 7176 series covers stability, braking, obstacle performance, range and electromagnetic compatibility. Results are recorded per model and are what our published specifications refer to.
Documentation moves with the product: technical file, conformity evidence, instructions for use, and the registration details for each market a device is supplied into.
What we hold ourselves to
Four commitments.
Published specifications
Turning circle, kerb climb, tested range, weight capacity and seating dimensions belong on the product page. An assessor cannot recommend a chair whose numbers only exist in a conversation.
Regulatory rigour
Devices we supply into Australia are included in the ARTG, and the inclusion number is published. Ask any supplier for theirs.
Manufacturing we can account for
Production runs through certified facilities under a quality management system, with defined inspection and traceability rather than an assurance that things are fine.
Design restraint
Muted finishes, considered proportions, nothing that turns a person into their equipment. Mobility equipment should not announce itself.
